Woman found dead on railway track with severed head in Odisha’s Balangir

Balangir: A woman’s body with severed head was found on railway track near Balangir Railway Station in Odisha, today.

The deceased was identified as Sarika Sai of Talapalipada in Balangir town. She was working with an insurance company.

According to reports, locals spotted the woman lying dead at Khujenpali railway crossing this morning and informed the Government Railway Police (GRP) about it.

Her car was found parked near the spot. It is being suspected that she took the extreme step of killing herself by jumping in front of a moving train.

Police have started an investigation into the incident.
