Woman found dead under bridge in Odisha’s Bargarh

Bargarh: A woman was found dead under a bridge near Bhadigaon under Bhatli police limits in Odisha’s Bargarh district, today.

Though the identity of the deceased was yet to be confirmed by police, an ATM card bearing ‘Sheela Behera’ name was found near the blood-soaked body.

According to reports, locals found a blood-stained knife on the bridge this morning and then spotted the body under the bridge.

On being informed by them, police reached the spot and initiated investigation.

It is being suspected that she was murdered and then thrown off the bridge.

A scientific team has been roped in to ascertain the circumstances under which the woman died.
