Woman injured in elephant attack in Odisha’s Dhenkanal
Dhenkanal: A woman sustained injuries after a wild elephant attacked her in Dhenkanal district today.
The victim has been identified as Sita Bhuyan, a resident of Belaguntha village under Dhenkanal Sadar range.

The incident occurred early in the morning while the woman was going outside home to attend nature’s call.
According to reports, the elephant suddenly came in front of the woman and attacked her. Hearing her scream, the villagers rushed to the site following which the wild jumbo ran away.
The locals rescued her and took her to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in critical condition for the treatment.
After receiving information, a team of forest officials reached the site and probed the incident.
