Woman killed as crane hits her in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: A woman died after reportedly being hit by a crane at Radhagovindpur Chhak under Athagarh police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district today.

The deceased has been identified as Sushma Sahu (40). According to reports, the woman was crossing the road to pluck flowers this morning around 7 am when a speeding crane hit her killing the victim on the spot.

The crane also rammed into a house after the road mishap. The house was severely damaged in the incident. The driver of the crane fled the spot after the accident, reports said.

Police have recovered the body for post-mortem and started an investigation.
