Woman kills husband in Odisha’s Balangir; accused absconding

Balangir: A woman allegedly killed her husband at Mahipur village under Tushura police limits in Balangir district last night.

The incident occurred at around 2 am when the 40 years old Dibya Singh Bhoi was sleeping inside his room.

According to reports, siblings of deceased found Jashoda Bhoi, wife of Dibya Singh Bhoi, running away in wee hours of Saturday from the room where he was sleeping. After seeing it, they rushed to the room and found their brother lying in a pool of blood.

The family members rushed him to the Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital in Balangir where he succumbed.

The family alleged Jashoda of killing her husband in his sleep with a sharp weapon.

However, the reason behind murder is yet obscure. On receiving information, the Tushura police reached the house and initiated probe.

Till the last report came in, the accused woman was absconding from the area.

According to family of deceased, Jashoda was mentally-ill and was under medication for psychological disorder.
