Woman lawyer found hanging inside house in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: Body of a woman lawyer was found hanging under mysterious circumstances inside a house at Indira Colony under Dhauli police limits in Odisha capital, last night.

The deceased has been identified as Deepali Priyadarshini Jena. She was staying at the rented house with her mother and two sisters.

According to reports, a male friend of the woman had come to the house last evening while her mother and sisters were absent. Later, the woman’s friend telephoned her younger sister informing that she locked herself inside the room and was not responding.

Kin of the woman soon rushed to the spot and found the body hanging from a ceiling fan inside the room. On the other hand, the woman’s friend has absconded.

Police have sent the body to the Capital Hospital here for post-mortem after recovering it and started investigation. On the other hand, her family members have alleged that she was murdered.
