Woman murdered inside house in Odisha’s Ganjam

Berhampur: A woman was allegedly murdered inside her house by unidentified miscreants at Burujhuri in Beguniapada area of Odisha’s Ganjam district late last night.

The deceased has been identified as Bijayalaxmi Nayak. She is survived by her minor son and daughter.

Children of the woman had last night gone to Belapada for watching a play. The duo didn’t return home and stayed at a relative’s place.

While Bijayalaxmi was sleeping inside her house alone, a group of people barged into the house and killed her, reports said.

The lifeless body was spotted this morning, following which police reached the spot along with a scientific team and started investigation. The reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained.
