Woman trampled to death by jumbo in Odisha's Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: A 48-year-old woman was trampled to death allegedly by an elephant in Kamakhyanagar area of Dhenkanal district today.

The deceased has been identified as Netramani Sahoo, a resident of Majhikhaman village under Muktapasi section of Western range.

As per preliminary information, a wild elephant attacked the woman while she was going to her farmland in the morning. She died on the spot.

On receiving information, the forest officials rushed to the site and recovered the body.
