Woman tries to end life as husband dies by suicide in Odisha

Cuttack: A woman tried to end her life after her husband died by suicide at Praharajpur village in Salipur area of Odisha’s Cuttack district today.

According to reports, the man took the extreme step of killing himself at his shop this morning. Traumatised by her husband’s death, the woman attempted suicide by hanging herself.

She was rescued in a critical condition and admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack city. The reason behind the suicide by the man was yet to be ascertained.

Police have recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated an investigation. Worth mentioning the two had tied the nuptial knot in March, this year.
