Woman’s charred body found inside house in Odisha’s Gajapati

Paralakhemundi: Charred body of a woman was found inside a house near Hatapada in Chandragiri area of Odisha’s Gajapati district, today.

The deceased has been identified as Pankajini Nayak of Adaba area in the district. She was staying at the rented house with a man of Aska area for the last two years.

Owner of the house spotted smoke billowing out of it this morning and informed police. Cops have recovered the burnt body for post-mortem and started investigation.

The person who was staying with the woman in the house has absconded, police sources said.
