Women ransack illegal liquor shop, thrash trader in Odisha

Balasore: Protest against illegal liquor trading continues to intensify in Odisha as several women today ransacked an illegal liquor shop at Bata village under Bhograi block in Odisha’s Balasore district.

They also reportedly thrashed the person involved in the liquor trading.

Following the incident, the women blocked Balasore-Chandaneswar by burning tyres.

The local administration was not paying any attention towards closing the illegal liquor shop which was operating for a long time in the village, they alleged.
