Workers dump garbage in front of Baripada municipality office. Here’s why
Baripada: In an unusual form of protest, sanitation workers today dumped garbage in front of Baripada municipality office in Odisha over non-payment of wages for the last two months.
The office premises wore a dirty look as the sanitation workers collected garbage from various locations in the town and dumped those in front of the municipality office.

“We are suffering due to non-payment of wages. It is getting tough to fulfill basic needs of our family members. We had given them (municipality authorities) a deadline of November 10 for the payment, but they didn’t pay any attention,” an agitating sanitation worker said.
They have warned of resorting to cease work in the case of non-payment of wages.
