Puri: With reopening of the Jagannath Temple in Puri following 9-month of closure, people working and residing on rent in the pilgrim town can have darshan of deities inside Srimandir.
Along with residents of Puri town, the tenants and working persons will also be given opportunity to visit the temple for darshan of Lord Jagannath, informed Puri Collector today.
Special arrangements in this regard will be made for them by December 31 for smooth darshan of deities with strict adherence to COVID-19 rules.
Sources said that people working in Puri town need to furnish their appointment letter for entry into Srimandir. Similarly, the tenants can visit the temple by providing the house owner's consent letter.
After reopening of the centuries old temple since December 23, only the residents of Puri town have the privilege to have darshan of Lord Jagannath and deities inside the temple from December 26. The authorities have allowed for ward-wise darshan till December 31 evening.
The devotees of Puri as well as outside will be permitted to enter into the temple from January 3 onwards.
