Bhubaneswar: Making Odisha and country proud at World Athletics Championships in Budapest, ace javelin thrower from the state Kishore Jena made it to the 12-man final today.
It was a historic feat for India as three Indians -- Neeraj Chopra, DP Manu and Kishore Jena -- qualified for the men's javelin final at the World Athletics Championships showcasing their best performances.
While Neeraj Chopra topped the qualification with a sensational throw of 88.77m, DP Manu secured 6th spot with 81.31m and Kishore Jena qualified at the 9th spot with the best effort of 80.55m.
The men's javelin final will be held on Sunday, August 27.
