World Tourism Day: Four-day ‘Paryatan Parv 2020’ from tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of the ‘World Tourism Day’ on September 27, the Indiatourism Offices of the Ministry of Tourism will organize ‘Paryatan Parv 2020’ with “Dekho Apna Desh” campaign for four days till September 30 in different parts of the country from tomorrow.

Indiatourism Kolkata celebrated the World Tourism Day & Paryatan Parv on the eve of World Tourism Day 2020 in association with EHTTOA (Eastern Himalayan Travel Agents & Tour Operators Association) at Lataguri, Dooars.

On September 27,  Indiatourism Kolkata will conduct a Facebook Live (Facebook page of Indiatourism Kolkata) on “Tourism & Rural Development” with Banglanatok.com as cultural partner and ACT as conservation partner.

During the Facebook Live the Speakers will be Sagnik Chowdhury, Regional Director (East), Amitabha Bhattacharya & Raj Basu. The major attraction will be Raibeshe and Baul Live. Live toy & Handicraft making.

Indiatourism Kolkata will participate in the Rural Tourism Award Function of Himalayan Hospitality and Tourism Development Network (HHTDN) at Siliguri, West Bengal.

Indiatourism Kolkata is scheduled to conduct a horse chariot rally in association with Association of Tourism Service Providers of Bengal in Kolkata with Rural Tourism Destination promotion on placard, banner etc.

Indiatourism Kolkata will also conduct a ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ car rally in association with Travel Agents Association Bengal in Kolkata where dedicated Tablow on World Tourism Day theme would be displayed. This event would be broadcasted live at the Facebook page of Indiatourism Kolkata.

Indiatourism Patna will also conduct a webinar on Rural Tourism of Bihar with tourism stakeholders.

Indiatourism Bhubaneswar would conduct a webinar on Rural Tourism of Odisha with tourism stakeholders.

Indiatourism Port Blair will also conduct a seminar on SOPs and Rural Tourism at CollinpurPanchyat, Ferrargunj , South Andaman on Paryatan Parv and WORLD TOURISM DAY 2020.

Incredible India logo, UNWTO-WTD logo, Paryatan Parv-Dekho Apna Desh, Swachcha Bharat Logo etc. will be incorporated in all display screens in the above said events, said an official.

On September 28, Indiatourism Kolkata in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) & Homestay Associations of Sittong and Takdah, West Bengal will celebrate Paryatan Parv on the theme of Tourism & Rural Development at Sittong and Takdah Cantonment Area.

These events will be broadcasted live at Facebook page of Indiatourism Kolkata. Incredible India Kits including thermal guns, sprayer & sanitizer, Gloves & Masks etc. will be handed over to local homestay associations so that they can offer the tourists a safe experience during Durga Pujo and Diwali Holidays.

Indiatourism Kolkata will conduct a Facebook live session on Rural Toy Stories of Notungram village, Bardhaman, West Bengal.

Indiatourism Patna is scheduled to celebrate Paryatan Parv through an webinar on Tourist destination of Tripura under Ek Bharat Sresth Bharat initiative.

Similarly, Indiatourism Bhubaneswar would celebrate Paryatan Parv through an webinar on Odisha Art and Culture.

Indiatourism Port Blair would celebrate Paryatan Parv at Portblair – drawing competition for orphan girls on 28.9.2020 on Paryatan Parv theme.

On September 29, Indiatourism Kolkata in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) & Homestay & Hoteliers Associations of Dooars, West Bengal will celebrate Paryatan Parv on the theme of Tourism & Rural Development at Lataguri/Malbazar Area of Dooars.

These events would be broadcasted live at Facebook page of Indiatourism Kolkata. Incredible India Kits including thermal guns, sprayer & sanitizer, Gloves & Masks would be handed over to local homestay associations
so that they can offer the tourists a safe experience during Durga Pujo and Diwali Holidays.

On September 30, Indiatourism Kolkata in association with ICCR & ACT would celebrate Paryatan Parv on the theme of Tourism & Rural Development in a live session at Facebook page of Indiatourism Kolkata.
