Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), the premier B School in the city, is organising Gramotsava 2013, a rural marketing fair, at its auditorium here from October 4.
The inauguration on Friday will be followed by a two-day marketing fair in select rural haats in the districts of Cuttack and Khurda.
The event will also witness the launch of the first edition of ‘Dhwani’, XIMB Rural Managers’ (RM) annual magazine. The official mascot, Bonnie Bhaina, an Olive Ridley turtle will also be unveiled in its new avatar.
The fair is aimed at promoting products and concepts among rural masses in partnership with business and social organizations and carrying out need based market research in association with partnering organizations, said a release issued by the institute.
Gramotsava 2013 will provide the institute an opportunity to associate itself with respected corporate and social entities like Aircel, Hero Moto Corp, ITC, Cavinkare, Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL), Hindustan Uniliver Limited, Mahindra and Mahindra, Piaggio, Britannia, Cholayil Group, Lotte Group, LIC, ICICI Lombard and UNICEF. The other participants include Godrej Agrovet, Shailaja Organics and Spring Health.
This year’s title sponsor is Mahindra Two Wheelers.
Started in the year 2006, Gramotsava is the flagship event of Rural Managers’ Association of XIMB (RMAX). RMAX, constituted in the year 2004, is a student initiative towards kindling social hearts and business minds of rural managers.
