Bhubaneswar: With no significant synoptic system lying over the region, dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over at least nine districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD mentioned, “Minimum temperatures observed appreciable fall at many places over the districts of North Interior Odisha, at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciably above normal at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, below normal at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, above normal at one or two places over the districts of Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

Temperature forecast: No large change is likely in Minimum (night) temperature at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next 4 to 5 days.

The highest maximum (day) temperature of 32.2°C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 10.0°C was recorded at Rourkela, Sundargarh, and Keonjhargarh in the plains of Odisha.
