Yet another minor girl gang raped in Odisha; 3 held  

Berhampur: Incidents of rape of minor girls continues unabated in Odisha with yet another case being reported from Ganjam district.

In the latest incident, a minor girl belonging to Dalit family was allegedly gang raped after being abducted by three miscreants  here under Golanthara police limits on December 15.

Sources said when the 16-year-old girl was going to a neighbour’s house to call her mother in the evening, three youths intercepted, gagged her and took her to a nearby filed. The trio later raped the minor one after another before fleeing the spot.

A day after, her family member lodged a written complaint at Golanthara police station. Acting the complaint, the police detained  all the accused identified as Kahna Patra, Tapan Nayak and Sudhakar Nayak.

Investigation is on into the incident, police said.
