Cuttack: While launching a website of SCB Medical College and Hospital and another one for the institution’s alumni association, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said he hopes many pass-outs from the medical college will return to build a greater future for the institution.
The Chief Minister added, “These great doctors are an inspiration to all of us to serve humanity with their knowledge and skills. You will all have a major role to play in transformation of SCB into a world-class institution.”
Patnaik said the state-of-the-art website of SCB Medical College will significantly enhance the stature and the service delivery capability of the “BADA Medical”.
“My Government has initiated the process of transformation under 5T initiative to make it a world-class institute and an ecosystem that will attract everyone to comeback and work in SCB,” he said.
Mentioning that SCB is one of the oldest medical institutions in the country, Patnaik informed the institution has a glorious history of serving humanity for over 76 years. Every day, more than 20 thousand people visit the medical college and hospital for their medical needs.
“During the current COVID-19 crisis, it has helped build institutional capacity for the entire State,” the Chief Minister added.
