In an eye opening case of social media lending the virtual helping hand, Twitter helped East-Coast railway officers to trouble -shoot an acute ear pain of a three year old girl and bring a smile of relief. The little girl travelling with her parents in train number 22807 , Santargachi Chennai Central AC super fast express, suddenly suffered an acute attack of ear pain. A friend asked for help using twitter and was pleasantly surprised when he was tweeted back by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM Khurda road) that prompt action was taken by the railway officers and the child was attended by a doctor at Cuttack station. This human touch of the Indian Railways has gladdened hearts and has definitely put Twitter on a high level of appreciation with the East Coast railways earning a feather on its efficiency cap.
