Young couple commits suicide by jumping before train in Odisha

Angul: Young couple committed suicide by jumping before a running train near Kumunda on Sambalpur-Angul route here this morning.

The locals spotted the scattered bodies of the couple lying near the railway track in the morning.

One of the deceased was identified as Bibhuti Sahoo, a mason by profession and resident of Banharpal area.

However, the identity of the woman is yet to be known.

The couple was suspected to have ended their lives by jumping before the train.

The illicit love affair might be the reason behind their suicide, the local sources said.

A motorcycle was also recovered on a bridge connecting between Angul and Jindal near the suicide point.

Sources said that the couple might have jumped before the train after alighting from the bridge.

On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and initiated probe into the incident.
