Bhubaneswar: A young doctor reportedly died in a road mishap in Bomikhal area of Odisha capital here yesterday night.
The deceased has been identified as Amit Bisoyi (28), a native of Berhampur in Ganjam district. Bisoyi was working in a private hospital in the capital city, sources said.
Bisoyi’s car collided with the divider at Bomikhal while he was travelling on Rasulgarh-Kalpana Square road yesterday night.
Bisoyi’s car was severely damaged in the mishap. He sustained grievous injuries in the incident and was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival, sources added.
The postmortem has been conducted at Capital Hospital. The police have launched a probe into the incident.
Bisoyi was supposed to tie the knot in February next year. The ring ceremony was scheduled for December 10 this year, sources said.
