Jajpur: A youth has been held for alleged misbehaviour with a Class VII student in Dhanamandala village under Barchana police limits in Jajpur district of Odisha.
The accused has been identified as 25-year-old Ramachandra Nayak, a resident of Dhanamandala village and son of Hattakishore Nayak.
As per reports, Ramachandra allegedly misbehaved with a girl student of Dhanamandala Nodal High School when she was en route to school on Monday. The victim informed the school headmaster Chittaranjan Sahoo regarding the incident, who held a meeting with the girl's family and the school committee and reported the matter in Barchana police station on Tuesday.
A case numbered 154/19 has been registered in the police station. The cops then arrested the accused and forwarded him to court. This incident has sparked tension in the village.
