Youth arrested for raping houseowner’s daughter in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: A youth was arrested on charges of raping houseowner’s daughter here in the city. The accused was identified as Bijay Pradhan, a florist from Nayagarh district.

According to reports, the youth was staying on rent under Airfield Police limits in Bhubaneswar since a long time. However, he had eyes on his houseowner’s daughter.

The houseowner’s daughter was alone at home on Saturday. Taking advantage of the situation, the tenant called her into his room where he outraged her modesty. After the victim shouted for help, the youth fled from the spot.

Following a complaint lodged at the Airfield Police Station, the cops nabbed the accused from Pokhariput area by tracking his mobile phone number.
