Youth dies during funeral of father in Odisha as tree falls on him

Koraput: In a highly tragic incident, a youth died during the funeral of his father as a tree fell on him at Kamata village under Borigumma block of Odisha’s Koraput district.

According to reports, one Laxman Mandal of the village had died yesterday. While his son Benudhar was present at the funeral, a tree fell on him, owing to incessant rainfall in the area.

The victim sustained critical injuries in the accident and was rushed to the Borigumma Community Health Centre.

However, doctors declared him dead at the healthcare facility.

A pall of gloom descended on the locality after the demise of the father-son duo within a span of several hours.
