Youth found dead at canal in Odisha’s Dhenkanal; murder suspected

Dhenkanal: Body of a youth was found under the bridge of Ghumura canal under Kamakhyanagar police limits in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district today.

The deceased has been identified as Kalindi Pradhan (33) of Alatuma village in Kamakhyanagar area.

It is being suspected that he was murdered as the body bore grievious injuries on head. Police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. A scooter and a mobile phone have been seized by the cops from the spot.

Tension gripped the place after the incident as irate locals blocked road by burning tyres demanding arrest of the killers. Traffic movement was temporarily affected due to the blockade.
