Youth found dead on farmland in Odisha’s Balangir; probe underway  

Balangir: The body of a youth was recovered from a farmland at Michhapali village under Puintala police limits in Balangir district today.The deceased has been identified as Alok Nayak (25).

Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, love affair is suspected to have led o the incident, sources said.

Sources said a girl called up Alok’s family member late last night and informed them about his death. Soon after, his family members rushed him to a hospital in Tarabha. However, doctors declared him dead. His father alleged that he has been killed since he has cut marks in his neck. Meanwhile, angry locals staged a blockade at Bairasar Chhak on Bolangir-Sonepur road  by burning tyres demanding immediate arrest of the culprits.

However, the police  have begun an investigation into the incident.
