Youth found dead on railway track in Odisha’s Angul

Angul: A youth was found lying dead on railway track in Banarpal area of Odisha’s Angul district today.

The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Kumar Nayak (24) of Gotamara village. Locals spotted the body on the track this morning and informed the local police about it.

Though the reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that he committed suicide late last night by jumping before a moving freight train, which was returning after unloading of coal at Captive Power Plant under Nalco police limits.

Nayak’s motorcycle was found near the track. Police have seized the body and sent it to the district headquarters hospital for post-mortem.
