Youth found dead with throat slit at forest in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: A youth was found dead with his throat slit at Maidalpur forest under Papadahandi block in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district, last evening.

The deceased has been identified as Ramu Bhatra (20) of Jhadakusumi village under Papadahandi police limits.

According to reports, Ramu went out of his house with two youths on a motorcycle on December 5. However, he didn’t return home following which his parents lodged a missing complaint with police next day.

Last evening, some locals spotted the body at the forest and later Ramu’s parents reached the spot and identified it. Police have recovered the body for post-mortem and started investigation.

Several liquor bottles were found near the body, sources said.
