Youth, his friend thrash father to death in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A youth and his friend allegedly thrashed the former’s father to death at Gohitangi village under Pandapada police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district last evening.

The accused, identified as Rasananda Nayak and Dullabh Nayak, have been detained by police for questioning.

According to reports, a quarrel ensued between the accused duo and Rabi Nayak (40), Rasananda’s father, over a family dispute.

Rasananda and Dullabh, who were in an inebriated state, thrashed Rabi with a lathi leading to his death on the spot.

On being informed by villagers, police reached the spot, seized the body for post-mortem and detained the two.

Investigation into the matter is underway.
