Youth hacked to death, thrown behind temple in Odisha’s Boudh; murder suspected

Boudh: A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances while lying behind Goudadei temple under Baghiapada outpost and Adarsh police limits in Boudh district, today. The youth was allegedly hacked to death and later thrown by a miscreant(s) after being killed.

The deceased was identified as Bibhisana Maharathy, who belonged to Jamapali village.

According to a source, Bibhisana had left his house last night for some personal work but did not return home for quite a long time. Worried over this, his family members launched a frantic search for him at all possible locations but to no avail. However, the youth’s body was spotted the next morning.

Some locals spotted Bibhisana dead in a pool of blood. His family has identified the body.

Stains of blood were seen on the ground up to a secluded house nearby. It is suspected that the youth was murdered and then dragged to the spot behind the temple and was thrown. The house to which blood stains lead is locked from outside, a police official stated.

On being informed, Baghiapada police reached the spot and seized the body. Police have registered an unnatural death (U/d) case in this connection and initiated a probe, which is underway.
