Youth hacks neighbour to death, injures parents in Odisha

Sundargarh, Jan 9:
A youth allegedly murdered an elderly woman by hacking her with an axe today in Odisha’s Sundargarh district after beating his parents last night.

According to reports, the accused identified as Ranjan Kalo of Talasara colony under Dharuadihi police station was protested by his parents while he was beating his wife on Sunday night.
He went on a rampage and started thrashing his parents mercilessly with a blowpipe following their objection.
The critically injured couple has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital in Sundargarh.
This morning he hacked his neighbour Sukamati Barik to death.
Police were questioning Ranjan detaining him at the police station.
