Bhadrak: A youth was allegedly murdered during a feast which was organised to celebrate the new year at Jalanga village under Bhadrak Rural police limits in the district, last night.

The deceased has been identified as Satyabrata Sial. As per a complaint lodged by his family members with police, he was part of a feast which was organised in the locality.

A dispute between Satyabrata and another youth emerged during the feast and the incident took an ugly turn as the latter thrashed him with iron rod killing him on the spot, they alleged.

The body was later dumped at verandah  of a bank. Police have recovered the body for post-mortem and started investigation.
