Bhawanipatna: Body of a youth and a minor girl were found near a farmland at Dudukathenga village under Koksara block of Odisha's Kalahandi district today.

The deceased have been identified as Niranjan Lahajal and a minor girl of the village. While the body of Niranjan was found hanging from a tree, the girl was found dead at a bush.

Locals spotted the two bodies this morning and informed police about it. Cops have recovered the bodies and sent those for post-mortem.

Though the circumstances under which the two died are yet to be ascertained, villagers alleged that both were murdered. The two were in a relationship, to which their family members were opposing, they said.
