Youth murdered over past rivalry in Odisha’s Boudh

Boudh: A youth was allegedly killed by a group of seven persons over past enmity in Dapala village under Manamunda police limits in Boudh district today.

As per reports, the deceased, identified as Digambar Sahu (35) was working at his farmland near the village. Five villagers attacked Digambar with sharp weapons leaving him grievously injured.

After receiving the information from other villagers about the attack, Digambar’s family members rushed him to the spot and admitted to the Manamunda hospital in a critical condition.

Later Digambar was shifted to the Sonepur District Headquarters Hospital. While being taken to the VIMSAR after doctors refereed Digarmbar to the hospital in Burla, he succumbed to the injuries on his way.

Based on a complaint filed by the mother of the deceased at Manamunda police station, police registered a murder case and launched an investigation into the matter.
