Youth parliament held in KV-2 at CRPF, Odisha campus

Bhubaneswar, Aug 26:

The 27th National Youth Parliament Competition (Regional Level)-2014 was held at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) No.-2 of Bhubaneswar CRPF Campus in the Odisha capital today.

youth parliamentThe Competition is organised in Kendriya Vidyalayas by the Union Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs every year with the objective of making the students aware of the Parliamentary sessions, systems and the procedure for the passing of Bills.

The students as young Parliamentarians are trained to present their views in the august House in the most democratic and descent manner.

Mahamegha Bahan Aira Kharbela Swain, Ex-MP graced the competition as a judge of the event hosted by KV No.-2 school of CRPF Campus here. He congratulated all the teams for their performance and lauded their presentations, which he said was well performed with thorough preparation.

Dr. D Ojha, Assistant Commissioner of KV Schools and Regional officer, Bhubaneswar and Mrs. B Mishra, Principal, KV, Gopalpur also attended the competition and adjudged five different teams – KV, Vizianagaram, KV No.-1, Cuttack, KV INS, Kalinga, KV Charbatia and KV No.-3, Bhubaneswar – which would represent the Region in the Zonal level competition.

All the arrangements in connection with the competition were made by KV No.-2, CRPF campus Bhubaneswar under the guidance and supervision of PC Rath, Principal of the school.

Three best performers and three special prizes were awarded to each Vidyalaya with participating certificates, informed Rath.
