Youth run over by train while speaking on mobile phone in Cuttack city

Cuttack: In a tragic incident, a train ran over a youth at Sikharpur in Odisha’s Cuttack city while he was speaking on mobile phone and crossing the track, today.

As per eyewitnesses, the deceased was talking to someone over the mobile phone with earphone on. Being unaware of the approaching train, he tried to cross the level crossing during which the train ran over the youth killing him on the spot.

On being informed, Government Railway Police (GRP) reached the spot, recovered the body for post-mortem, and initiated an investigation.

Till last reports came in, the identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained.
