Youth shot at, admitted to SCB Hospital

A college student was grievously injured after he was shot at by three unidentified miscreants near Kanjipani today.

According to police, three students of Chhendipada college of Angul district were on the way to the Tarini temple at Ghatagan when three unidentified miscreants came on a Bajaj Pulsar bike and opened fire at them at a secluded place near Kanjipani.

The injured, identified as Tuna Sahu, a Plus Three student of Chhendipada college, sustained bullet injuries on his stomach. He was first rushed to Kanjipani hospital from where he was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack as his condition became critical.

“Efforts are on to nab the culprits”, said Subranshu Mishra, IIC of Keonjhar sadar police station.
