Youth stabbed to death in Odisha’s Angul

Angul: A youth was allegedly hacked to death by an unidentified miscreant at Electricity Office Chhak in Pallahara of Angul district this morning. The deceased has been identified as Narendra Behera, a resident of Uditnagar Sahi in Pallahara.

According to sources, Narendra went outside to have tea early this morning. All of a sudden a man attacked him with a sharp weapon. Soon after, Narendra started running to save himself and barged into a house, where he lost his consciousness. The miscreant fled the spot fearing detention.

After receiving information, Pallahara police reached the spot and sent Narendra to Sub-Divisional hospital (SDH) at Pallahara. However, doctors declared him dead. The cops registered a unnatural death case and began an investigation. It is suspected that  previous enmity led to the incident.

Police sources said, Narendra was earlier arrested in a kidnapping case and released from jail on bail a few days ago.
