Youth stabbed to death in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: A youth was allegedly stabbed to death with a knife at Alamchand Bazar in Odisha’s Cuttack city, last night.

The deceased has been identified as Kartik Barik. His brother has alleged that a person namely Nanda murdered Kartik over previous enmity.

As per a complaint lodged by the deceased’s family members with Lalbag police, Kartik had gone to a local shop last night during which Nanda attacked him with a knife.

The victim sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the City Hospital here. He was later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital, where he breathed his last.

A dispute was earlier prevailing between Nanda and Kartik, which was later resolved mutually, family sources said. While investigation into the incident is underway, the accused has absconded.
