Youth strangulates stepmother to death in Odisha

As per the complaint lodged by Shridhara Mohapatra, husband of the deceased, the youth killed his stepmother by strangulating her with a towel when the former was in his hotel. Shridhara's two sons and two daughters had a dispute with their stepmother over property issue since last four months. The situation turned ugly yesterday when one of Shridhara's sons killed the woman finding her alone in the house.

Shridhara, who had married the woman after death of his first wife, alleged it to be a pre-planned murder. On receiving information, police reached the spot and detained the accused.
