Youth’s blood-soaked body found on road in Odisha’s Balangir

Kantabanji (Balangir): A blood-soaked body of a youth was found on a road this morning at Jhupudipada under Kantabanji police limits in Odisha’s Balangir district.

The deceased person has been identified as Jagannath Gahir from Bhawanipatna area in Kalahandi district.

According to reports, Jagannath had visited his relative at Jhupudipada. He was found with severe injuries on his dead in front of his relative’s house in the morning today.

His relative rushed him to the Kantabanji CHC where he was declared brought dead.

“The patient was brought dead. He had severe head injuries. The cause of death will be ascertained after the post-mortem,” informed Dr. Shantanu Rout, Kantabanji CHC.

The preliminary investigation suggested that the youth was murdered last night. The probe is in progress by the Kantabanji police to know the motive behind his killing.
