Youth’s body found floating in pond in Odisha’s Dhenkanal   

Dhenkanal: The body of a person was found floating in a pond at Kantio Putasahi village under Tumusinga police limits in Dhenkanal district today.

The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Parida.

Sources said Pankaj went outside yesterday to graze his cattle and did not return late in the evening. Later, his family members searched for the youth in the nearby areas but did not find him. Today morning, his body was found floating in the village pond.

Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the youth might have drowned while taking bath in the pond.

Police have reached the spot and initiated an inquiry in this connection.
