Youth’s body found hanging from electric pole in Odisha’s Puri

Puri: Body of a youth was found hanging from an electric pole near Kushabhadra river under Nimapada police limits in Odisha’s Puri district, today.

The deceased has been identified as Kalia Maharana of Bhodar village. He had reportedly come to her sister’s house in Nimapada last evening.

However, his body was spotted by locals near the river this morning. On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.

Though the reason behind the death of Maharana is yet to be ascertained, his family members have alleged that he was murdered.
