Youth’s body found hanging from tree in Odisha’s Angul, murder alleged

Angul: Body of a youth was found hanging from a tree at Gurudhi village under Purunakot police limits in Odisha’s Angul district, today. The deceased has been identified as Sushil Das (20).

Locals spotted the body this morning at a mango orchard and informed the police. Cops have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. Investigation into the matter is underway.

Though the reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, family members of Sushil have alleged that he was murdered by kin of a girl of Purunagarh village. They claimed that the youth was in a relationship with the girl.

Sushil had last night gone to Purunagarh for watching a cultural programme on the occasion of Durga Puja. He returned home around 2 am and again went outside, family sources said.
