Youths kidnap minor girl from house in Odisha’s Gajapati

Paralakhemundi: A group of youths allegedly kidnapped a minor girl from her house in Abada area of Odisha’s Gajapati district, late last night.

As per a police complaint lodged by the abductee’s mother, a youth of the village entered the house after climbing atop the roof and abducted the girl when other family members were sleeping around 2 am.

Though the mother and grandfather of the girl tried to resist him, the accused thrashed them and fled the spot with the girl. He also snatched away a gold chain from the neck of the girl’s mother.

As many as three youths of the village assisted him in the kidnapping, the complainant said.
