Bhubaneswar: Planning to order food from Zomato? Your order may get delayed as the Zomato riders are on strike in the state capital today.
The union of Zomato riders staged protest at Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar over revised payout by the online food services firm.
“We had joined Zomato on pretext of getting higher payout. Even after the firm grew stronger, it repeatedly reduced our payout. When approached the higher authorities in this regard, we were disappointed. They asked us to stay with Zomato or else switch to other company,” the Zomato Rider’s Union said in a letter.
The protestors demanded the Zomato authorities for Rs 35 payout, no future revision in payout, and compensation to the riders for the loss of income incurred during the ongoing strike.
