Zwigato made tax-free in Odisha; special screening held at CM’s res

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has waived off entertainment tax on movie Zwigato.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved a proposal to this effect today.

The movie has been directed by Nandita Das with famous actor Kapil Sharma and Sahana Goswami on the lead roles. The storyline of the movie depicts the life of a food delivery boy and his struggle.  Zwigato is a Hindi movie and its entire shooting has been done in Bhubaneswar city.

It may be mentioned here that the state government is promoting Odisha as a destination for film shooting through proactive policies. This will promote tourism potential and provide employment opportunities for the youths of Odisha, said a senior official of the state government.

The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of Nandita Das for promoting Odisha as a destination for the shooting commercial movies.

In a related development, a special screening of the movie was held at Naveen Niwas, the residence of the Chief Minister in the city here, today evening.

The Chief Minister praised the movie for depicting the struggle of a common man. He also appreciated the artistic portrayal in the movie. The movie will succeed in giving a positive message for social change, opined the Chief Minister.
