22 more places declared Containment Zones in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: As several new COVID-19 cases were detected in the state capital, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today declared 22 more places as Containment Zones.

The 22 places that have been declared Containment Zones include four in north zone, and 18 in south-east zone.

With this, total 41 places in the state capital have been declared Containment Zones, in the past few days.

Besides, six places have been declared as Micro Containment Zones.

The 18 new Containment Zone in south-east zone include Plot No-223/1752 in Bomikhal, Plot No-20 and 21 near Angan Restaurant in Sahidnagar,  Plot No-9 near Yamah Showroom in Kharavelnagar, Plot No-1164/8588 in Lane-1 of Patitapaban Nagar at Canal Road in Badagada,  19-B Ratna Niwas in Tankapani Road area, and Plot No-14 of Akarpuri Housing Board and Plot No-3314/4736 at Ganga Jamuna Road in Old Town.

The other Containment Zones in the south-east zone are Flat No-301, Block-D and Flat No-301, Block-B at Utkal Villa in Acharya Vihar, Plot No-3889/2 Near Brahmeswar Haat at Tankapani Road, Plot No-264 at Prahallad Residency in Lewis Road area, Flat No-301 of Madhabani Enclave in Nuagaon, Flat No-401 (Block-D)  at Utkal Villa, Acharya Vihar, Plot No-1149 near Krushna Kunj Apartment in Unit-9,
Plot No-2762 near HP Gas Behind Brahmeswar Temple, Plot No-MB-32 in Badagada Brit Colony, Plot No-722/738 near Taru Apartment in Tankapani Road and Plot No-1087, Dakabangala Square in Old Town.

The four Containment Zones in north zone are XIMB Hostel (Studio) in Ward-16, G-3 of Netaji Subas Enclave at Gadakan in Ward-9, Flat No-118 at Kharvela East View Apartment in Patia and Laxmi Residency in Hanspal.

The Micro Containment Zones in south-west zone are Flat No- 601 (Tower -1) of Vipul Garden in Kalinga Nagar, Annapurna Finance in Khandagiri Bari, MIG-78 in Pokhariput of BDA Colony, Plot No-22 in Siddhi Vihar of Jagamara, Flat No-J-214 at Galaxy Residency in Kalinga Nagar and Plot No- 23 in Surya Nagar near Governor House.

In larger public interest and curb further spread of  the virus, BMC directed officials concerned to implement the following restrictions:

-No public shall be allowed to enter into the containment zone and the inhabitants within
the containment zone shall not move out.

-All the inhabitants within the containment zone shall strictly remain in home.

-BMC will supply essentials and medicines as required to the inhabitants in the containment zones.
