3 more COVID patients die in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as three more COVID-19 patients died in Odisha, official sources said today.

While two of them, hailing from Gajapati and Sundargrah districts, died due to COVID-19, one woman of Balasore district breathed her last due to other health complications, sources added.

“Regret to inform of the demise of a 40-year-old COVID positive male of Gajapati district and a 64-year-old COVID positive male of Sundargarh district, who was also suffering from diabetes,” the Health Department said.

“Regret to inform of the demise of a 45-year-old COVID positive female of Balasore district due to Massive Hemorrhagic Exudative Pleural Effusion,” the department added.

With this, the COVID toll in Odisha mounted to 36.

The state today also reported 469 fresh COVID cases as the tally crossed 9,000-mark and reached  9070.
